Brett Cody has been pastor of Whiting Community Church since May of 2014. Before serving in Whiting, he has served in North Carolina as a senior pastor and also as a worship pastor of churches in Raleigh, Emit and Newton Grove. He has also served in churches in Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Music Composition from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God as well as a desire to build a Great Commission Church. He has been on mission teams traveling to China and Canada as well as locations in the United States. He and his lovely wife, Sabrina, have four children: Leah, Andrew, Abigail and Jacob.
