Nursery

Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me." Matthew 18:5. Our nursery at Whiting Community Church is a ministry. Sometimes nursery workers are the first people children learn about the Bible and Jesus Christ. We understand that parents want to know and feel that their most precious child will be safe and with loving and caring individuals.

We use the Nursery curriculum from Discipleland.com. It incorporates Scripture with activities and songs and all are age appropriate. Parents will receive a card with the lesson information and ways they can also reinforce each lesson throughout the week.

Our newly renovated nursery was designed to nurture and give a safe place to children ages 0-3. Nursery time starts after the worship part of our Sunday morning service until the end of the service. Many of our nursery workers are parents, grandparents, teachers and all have been background checked.

We have cleaned out old, broken toys and books and replaced them with hands-on learning toys and new books. The nursery is cleaned and disinfected after every use. At this time, donations are not accepted.
